Passion Project - In action
Hi all
Here are a couple of photos of Jessica and Matina when they visited the S.P.C.A last Thursday as part of their Passion Project.
They delivered a very well received presentation on Friday and it was great to see the confidence both girls showed when sharing their learning with the class.
Way to go, girls! You're awesome. Tumeki

Literacy Quiz
Recently the super talented Alissa, Amelia, Campbell and Zoe represented Oaklands at the Literacy Quiz. In a team of 6 they worked together to read and memorise facts for 12 books. These included novels and sophisticated picture books.
Many meetings were held where they worked with Mrs Martin and Miss Coad, as well as numerous Literacy Quiz practice as part of the SDL learning.
The event was held at Somerfield School, filling their hall with excited and somewhat nervous contestants and their proud and supportive parents - and Mr F - he was there, too.
The competition was fierce and enthusiastic.
Amelia, Alissa, Campbell and Zoe were amazing with one Oaklands team finishing 5th.
Here are a couple of photos from the event.
